I met a Mexican man at a Pool Hall on Memorial Day, 2010. He was kind, and generous. He was married, and though she wasn't there, he was respectful of all the women. His nickname was Poppy - I don't know what his real name is. This Poppy photo from my garden reminds me of him. Warm and bright San Antonio! I used TAP to transfer the digital image to fabric, chose a favorite line from a favorite hymn to caption the image, and then thread painted with Madeira threads. This is a 4 inch x 4 inch quilt, with 3 layers.
