This quilt was my first venture into the use of recycled clothing and fabrics.

The tulips are cut from flowered fabric and appliqued on a background cut from a dress shirt. The leaves are from fabric scraps, the vines from another shirt. Both are appliqued.

The piece is machine quilted with iridescent thread. The inside border is hand-embroidered with metallic thread and beaded.

So unique.. I live in the land of "Tulips "...these are very pretty & iridescent,  glad to see that I am not the only person using recyled clothing.

The colors are so striking!  And I love the choice of the background fabric, too. Great job!!
