I like making these portraits. I like the fact that I use so little fabric and they are not difficult to make but I still get this nice effect. I would like to think of a way though to make them more challenging. Any ideas?

I do love the effect of transparency you gave to this portrait !
I love the minimal effect. When you get closer to the screen it is hard to see the facial features, but back up a little and the face jumps off the page, so to speak. Very smart choices of the areas you decided to emphasize.
You really capture the portrait and the subject's personality without being "fussy."
