This was my second quilting project: (small quilted picture):   I used lots of different fabrics in creating this scene.  I dug deep into my landscape fabrics for fish, trees, fisherman, water, etc. I used larger realistic looking plastic fern and log in foreground to create distance. (the log is a small 2" piece of weather wood  I found while walking on our property).  I decided to use fall colored trees for the foreground, darker trees in the shadows, and a filtered view of  sun light showing through the trees so it would appear to be late in the day.  I quilted the water for movement and layered lots of fabrics.  (Almost ready to frame)

Best compliment I have to give is, "I want to be there".
