Here is my daughter Aurelia's husband ,José manuel ! this time I decided to give more interest to the background, I printed it (only the landscape, not the portrait itself) painted it ,or "colorised" it, then added some texture to the weeds and trees using the embellisher machine with wool , and the rest was done with free motion quilting. Hope you like it !

Hello Josette,

Yes I like it!  I think it is a great idea to do something with the background. It gives it a lot of depth.

Very nice!!!  The thread work is really  well done.  Adding the background was a good idea, it gives the portrait a sense of place and time.

The hat and coat look so leather-like I want to touch it!

Hi There!

I've been so busy for the last three months with the wedding and making the wedding dress that i didn't have the time to look at this site.

But this is a great way to open it.

What a nice piece of work you made. So natural that you want to talk to the guy!

Greetings from Holland.

Your work is amazing. He looks real to me, especially the eyes and beard. I never tried a portrait. Always a little intimidating to me.
