Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween!!  I was inspired to make this to represent what October tastes like to me.  October is my favorite month and Halloween is my favorite holiday.  Needless to say, October tastes like Halloween Candy to me.

The hand is one of the magic gloves that stretch to fit anyone.  The jack-o-lantern is made of suede material and the facial features are glittered felt.  The candy is a combination of stickers, and wooden balls and doles that I covered with tissue paper.  The pumpkin handle is a pipe cleaner, the bat is a button, and I hand stitched the "trick or treat."  The carmel apple is mostly fabric with the exception of the wooden stick.  The bat trail is multi-colored glass beads.  The cat is fabric and embroidered embellishments.  The border is ribbon and buttons.

Trick or Treat!!

Hi CyooOhio  Just opened up your wallhanging of Halloween and I think it is great.  It was good of you to explain exactly what you did to make it.  It has given me inspiration to make one for my grandchildren so they can hang it up every halloween as they do with the advent calendar every year.  Thank you.  Dianne (Scotland)
