This quilt was designed from the favorite photograph of this rottweiler's owner.  It measures about 28 by 30 inches.  I used raw edge applique for the dog's head and neck , satin stitched.  The background fabric was a lucky find at the quilt fabric store.  The fabric is all commercial cotton - I enjoy the challenge of using commercially available fabrics to create a picture.

I am so impressed with your quilt.  I love how you handled the black dog especially his mouth.  what a great job.

I love this quilt. I am working on one of my black lab. I have made a couple, but she is all black. Can't seem to get the right shadding. Yours is so great!!

Amazing piece!  Love the dog.  I bet the dog's owner was thrilled.

YOu've given him lots of personality... and the background is indeed an amazing find.
