I made a series of these postcards - one for each season on the Canadian prairies.  This is the frozen lake and the pink winter sky, inspired by a photo of mine.  This is where I grew up.  Cotton fabric, ribbon, yarns, rayon thread, and a piece of a blue plastic shopping bag : )

You have a very pretty set of postcards.  I enjoyed them all and then went to your blog.  I'm looking forward to seeing more.

I see that your work is deceptively simple looking but in reality has layer into layer... fascinating to look at... love the hand work as well as the machine.

I love your prairie postcards. I was from Manitoba, now in the Okanagan Valley.  I am a handquilter and also have done some wallhangings from photos , I do have a couple on this site, also my purses made from plastic bags.   I still visit the family in Manitoba,I love the prairies, I will look for more of your work..... great job.
