Solitude at Oval Beach

This quilt is made based on a photograph taken by my husband.  I used painted fabric for the waters edge sand....it looks slightly wet compared to the other piece of sand.  The borders are mitered.  And I quilted the grain of the fabric for the border to bring it to life.  Oval Beach is on Lake Michigan.  Thanks for taking a look.

Thanks Anne,  I am pleased with how the fabrics "played" together.  The water is from a McKenna Ryan fabric line.  Peggy
