This is a quilt inspired by the dutch painter Ton Schulten.

It is made of selfpainted fabrics, silk, cottons from the quiltshop and machine quilted on a domestic sewing machine.

This  is really beautiful.  Wonderful use of color and texture.  It tells a story to me.  I also love the border.

I love this. I think Ton Schulten is an inspiration for quilting and I have collected quite a few prints of his work with this in mind - just haven't got round to it yet - well done Marjolijn!
