This is my favorite time of year when all the colors change and the light and air seems to get softer. Raw edge applique, confetti-style leaves, machine quilted and embroidered.

Love the look of the flowers in the lower left. Is the outline black thread or are the flowers backed with black fabric? Would love to see a detail shot.
Thank you, Nancy. The lower left flowers are indeed on a black background & stitched in black, too. I used a lot of tulle in this one & it seemed to bring out the other colors. A peaceful place....
Absolutely wonderful, I love the colors. Even though the colors are vibrant it gives off a serene feeling, calmness and beauty!
