This was my entry to the calendar contest for 2011. I used Texture Magic to do the cone and the ice cream. Seed beads and bugle beads were used as sprinkles and scrapbook letters for the words.
Love the sprinkles!
Hello Jodi7 I love your quilted calendar - icecream looks good enough to lick! Ha! Can you tell me what you mean by 'Texture Magic' as I am not sure. Is it a type of material? I am always looking for something different and new ideas. Thank you. Dianne (Scotland)
Texture Magic is a product that will shrink when heated. You can get it from Suprior Threads and probably other sources too. It is very fun to work with as you are never sure what different fabrics will look like once shrunk. You can do free motion or a pattern before you shrink and what ever you stitch it will make some kind of texture out of your fabric.
