pieced, embellished quilt - approx. 2 ft. x 3 ft.

 

Making this quilt was a brand, new adventure for me.  Instead of using just commercial fabrics, I also used sections of an (acrylic on canvas) abstract work I had painted.  Once removed from its canvas, I cut up the painting and used it as I would any fabric. 

 

Embellishements incl: 3 metal wheels; colourful beads; tiny metal triangles; embroidery floss; primitive-looking gold-coloured discs; polished, reddish stones; rectangular-cut  purple-ish shells; metallic thread; etc.
