Creek in Fall

This is a little different technique for me.  I started with batting, then layered on thin strips of fabric, put on a layer of black tulle, then put on more details (especially the metallic thread on the water) and a final layer of black tulle.  Then quilted the surface and some thread painting.  Hanging in the Copper Shade Tree Gallery in Round Top, Texas.  18" x 24".

Congrats on the Copper Shade Tree showing! I LOVE to peruse their site and drool! I have them bookmarked. Thank you for sharing some insights on your technique. I, too, am playing with things I don't normally do. How much fun!
