Thread Painted Rosehips, 2011

This was inspired by a photo I took of three rosehips hanging over the lake at my mom's cabin last summer in Saskatchewan.  I've made this piece three times over with different methods.  This one was on 2 layers of soluble.

I look forward to seeing the landscape these rose hips 'live' in...someday? Or someday soon?

Excellent, & also very pretty.  Is this one  layer or many of thread stitching  to get this result?
