Mother's Homestead, 2011 (commissioned thread painting, detail)

This was an 8x10 thread painting of a farmstead that is no longer.  It was commissioned this year as a mother's day present from a son.  The original photo was an aerial view of the farm & surrounding crops.  This is a 3x5" detail, which amazed me how it resembles an oil painting!
