Leaves on a Tree Trunk

This was fun to make.  Based on a tree outside my window.  The background fabrics were layered under tulle and them stitched.  I made a cord for the vine and tacked down.  Then I made leaves using water solubale stabilizer and scraps of fabric and tulle.

I usually make my leaves from a solid chunk of fabric. I haven't tried the freeforming stabilizer/scraps method. That does sound like fun. I will give it a try soon! Thanks for sharing.
