I was trying for a Dragon, but he looks more like a general monster :)

Raw-edged applique with an extra layer of batting for the face. The shear fabric was edged by burning. Fabric paint was added to deepen the shadows and blend the base of the horns.

Raw-edge applique, thread painted, and free motion quilted 16 X 16"

next time make his stout longer, and narrower, yes its does look like a monster, this is from 14 and 15 year olds, the ones that know all. they all liked it, i love it. we are making ones, hope to share later. thanks for sharing and inspringing the rest of us.

Yes, it's a monster for sure!  It's the old Greek Minotaur -- Perfect!  I love it!

Now here's a handsome fellow... beautifully done.  Love the fabric you have as the white of his eyes... very nice.  And his horns really look like they truly belong.

He may not be a dragon but I don't think he is a general monster either... something from a Greek myth, I'm thinking... a big bull... like the kind Hercules mastered as one of his labours.
