This is a birthday present I made for a young friend who is turning thirty. Her dog Toby is in his last years and I wanted her to have a special memory of him. I took the picture, enlarged it and made the pattern. I used raw edge applique to piece Toby and then I quilted the piece. This is my third attempt at taking a digital photograph and turing it into a quilted wall hanging.
