Quilt - Fibro Rag.

I made this quilt in protest of Fibromyalgia and how it is misunderstood.  There are 12 ladies in this quilt, each has a name but each could be anyone... Fibro does not show itself on the outside too readily.

Everything in this quilt is done by hand.. the batting is an old wool blanket.  There are over 300 buttons as well...  (I had 500 but decided it was too much so took about 200 off) some kind of quirky, like most people are :)  The ladies are faceless and I think that speaks volumes about Fibromyalgia.  Most of us are faced with people that don't believe we are sick, including doctors who sometimes tell us it is all in our heads.

It took 2 months to complete.

What I have not done but intended to in the beginning was to add all the different things you hear from people who don't have fibro like.... 'it's all in your head',  'you're just lazy' and my favourite from my doctor at the time.... 'what do you expect me to do, you have fibro?'

I've got fibromyalgia too and I completely understand where you are coming from.  Well done!  Thank you!
