This is a field of flax in full bloom one morning.  The moon is bout to set.  Canola in the distance.  There are approximately 900+ periwinkle french knots in this one.  Machine and hand stitched.  Painted sky.  Framed for a group exhibit.  Blogged at http://www.mysweetprairie.blogspot.com

I am now inspired to interpret a Garry Oak meadow (Vancouver Island, BC)! Thanks for sharing.

Truly beautiful.  I love both the simplicity of it and the fact that it has shadow and light and movement.  Really beautifully done.

This is beautiful.  I love working with linen, not so much with making French knots - well done!

: )  Oh none of this is made of linen.  But Linen is a product of Flax... thus the name : )

I did post a much better photo... but I don't want to delete this one for all your lovely comments! ; )

This must be from Manitoba  which is where I  live. This is my favorite time of year when I can go for a drive in the country and see the yellow and blue fields. Breathtaking. Love the quilt.
