I framed this one in barnwood under glass. Based on a photo I took from the car window last summer while traveling from Saskatoon to Calgary. It's always been my favorite "accidental' photograph... perfect for stitching! : )
I feel like I am in the car just driving along admiring the scenery. I love this!
Monika, I just love all of your work!
I like the guazey feel of the clouds. Is that all stitching or did you stitch down guaze?
The clouds are cheesecloth, arranged on the fabric without adhesive, and then machine stitched on. Cheesecloth sounds so tacky, but it really was just the right fibre for the clouds that day : )
Thanks Nana, Lisa, and Lisa

Love this! I live in a rural area too and I love driving past the corn and soy fields at the expansive prairie. Thank you!
I love your clouds, and just about anything about the prairie! Very cool! Keep it up!
Such a sense of movement with this, I feel like my hair is blowing back in the wind. Great photo of your work also, on enlargement, I could see every single stitch.
Thank you for all the lovely comments!! : ) How sweet - makes my day and puts a skip in my step.
