The prickly pear plants and flowers were made on a separate piece and the result was not what I wanted. So I cut the plants out and made a new background! See before and after on my blog: www.debbiegeistweidt.blogspot.com.
This is so attractive, I recently saw a lot of these prickly pear plants & thought they would make a wonderful fiber art design....well done.
What a recovery! The texture of the stitching integrates the elements really well. And the bit of green stands out against the other more muted colors.
