Atomic Coffee Break

I've always loved the styles of the 1950's, especially the Atomic Clock.  This quilt was created from an original drawing and machine pieced and appliqued.  My love of quilting began with a book on Amish quilts.  I like the challenge of using only solid fabrics in keeping with the Amish tradition. This quilt won a Judges Choice Award at the annual 2011 Maine Pine Tree Quilters show.

I really got a kick out of the electrical outlets in both of your quilts - and I love the coffee pot!

Thanks Dale!  Not sure why I'm fascinated with outlets - I hammered a nail in one when I was a little kid and got a bad shock - maybe that's it.

Thanks RemnantWorks - I like your little bird quilt, too - but, until now have been too shy to comment on anyone's work.

You have the 50's down perfectly with the objects and colors. Intriguing how you did just 3 sides with the pink border. And the shadows are great.
