I took a class with Pam Holland when she came to San Miguel Allende, Mexico.  We learned how to apply inks, dye fabric, and free motion quilt among other wonderful things.  This is my final piece.  I used ink-tense color pencils and sukineko inks. I had thought of embroidering french knots but when I found the micro metal beads I thought they would look wonderful and they did. Beautiful quilt! I love the colors, threadwork, and the beading.

I like the use of the beads. Gives good texture, and the fairly consistent spacing offers yet one more element of unity. I also like how the direction and level of complexity varies in the quilting.

I just bought some of the ink-tense color pencils and have yet to use them is such a fun way.  Can't wait, thanks for sharing!
