An English Cottage Garden

I drew the inspiration for this art quilt from my cottage garden. I love my garden and take too many pictures of it, my camera is filled with pictures of flowers and quilts.

I hand painted the silk background and  painted the flowers from my drawings onto silk as well. Then appliqued the flowers on. Thread painting and free form quilting finished it .

Just gorgeous!  I, too,  have many flowers and way too many pictures of them but I love them & show them off as much as tolerated :-}
