This fabric mosiac was made using small pieces of fabrics fused to a background.  The quilt was quilted by Linda Gillett of Edison, Nebraska.   It has been traveling around the country in an exhibition by FiberArtists of Hope.  It is now showing in Pennsylvanis National Quilt Extravaganza XVIII, until Spetember 18, 2011.

It is also featured in the Oct/Nov  issue of Quilter's Newsletter.

There's a great deal of terrific detail in this piece. I'd love to see an upclose shot. Also, given the title, I imagine that there's quite a story behind the piece. Why not tell us something about its background?

Love this design - the detail is wonderful and when I half close my eyes the overall design is so graphic and dynamic
