Pumpkins in Paradise

This quilt was inspired by the fabulous, but fleeting colors of fall.  It was created from an original drawing of a pair of pumpkins basking in the rosy, morning sun in a lovely country setting.  (Little do these pumpkins know, they will soon be scooped up and carved into jack-o-lanterns and then thrown on the compost pile  - but, that's another story. ) This quilt measures 20" x 12.5" and is very finely quilted for added texture.  Materials used were 100% cotton commercial and hand-dyed fabrics and embroidery floss.  Quilt was machine pieced, fused appliqued, hand stitched and hand embroidered.
