“Imagine. Leap. Soar!” is my inspiration phrase for 2012. As I looked through a thick file of inspirational clippings, I realized that this simple, three-word phrase encapsulated it all. 9.5” square. Artisan-dyed fabrics; commercial fabrics that are painted (blindfolded!) and stamped (using plastic needlepoint canvas as the stamp) with acrylic paint. Pigma Micron pen lettering. Vintage European glass buttons. Free-motion quilting. I like how the roundness of the buttons and quilting offsets the linear quality of the piecing.
