This is a quilt that I made as a Christmas gift. The photograph that was the inspiration was taken in August on Lake Michigan, 2011. I used photoshop to alter the photo by using the posterize function. Next I used stabilizer and my light box to trace each color block. I assembled the quilt and machine quilted the piece. I used thread painting for detail. Clear beads were used to represent the water droplets!
