Spring Greens, 2012 Threadpainting 7x9

Two years ago, the fields and ditches were flooded all spring and summer.  The dandelions were rampant!   This was inspired by one of my favorite photos I took along the roadside.  No templates or photo print outs.  Done freestyle by machine & hand.

Another beautiful interpretation of a photograph. I agree with Edyth - the depth perception draws the eye right in to the piece.

Such texture! The vertical against the horizontal gives good visual interest 

And the sprays of flowers just tops it off.
