This was made for a small quilt exchange on Quilter's Gallery. The theme was "New Beginnings" and to me springtime definitely is a time of New Beginnings.
 Overall it is a painted whole cloth quilt with some of the leaves and the bird appliquéd. 16X20 in.

This is so refreshing...such a colorful bird to have in your garden after the winter...How did you make the bird ( is it a fabric cut-out? or???  )

Thank you, yes the bird is a cut out (left over from another project). After I finished the fabric painting I felt that I need another focus in the piece.
