Santa said I had been a good girl this past Christmas and gave me a Kindle. I was instantly out in my quilt shed making an artistic bag to carry and protect it. Fussy cut a flower from the yummy Hoffman fabric, made a quilt sandwich of it, and applied it to the bag. The backside has additional storage pocket for the power cord and earphones.

Lindy  I love your kindle bag.  It is lovely, bright and colourful.  I don't think you will lose it.  Ha!  Great idea making a pocket for the accessories.  I may get round to making one too this year but have lots of other things to do.  At the moment I am felting with my new machine.  Love it.  Quine

Quine! Thank you, and you are very right. I won't 'lose' this bright critter! You instantly got my attention when you said you are felting machine blessed!!! I am in the process of dyeing raw wool, getting ready for a class in August from Gilda Baron, of the UK. Do you have pix of your work? I would love to see them!

Hi Lindy  Good to hear you are into felting too and dyeing raw wool - sounds great but I haven't really done much in the way of felting with the machine yet as I only bought it two weeks ago.  As soon as I have something made I will post a picture on here for you.   Did make a couple of ducks!!  Just experimenting!   I made a felt bag a few years ago which was wet felted - I was real pleased with it.  I have been buying wool etc for felting for a few years now and have gathered a good variety of materials including some wool from the Shetlands - now down to the creative bit eh?  I am in France for the summer and hope to get some ideas here.  I would be interested to hear how you get on with the workshop by Gilda Baron - you never know I may have an opportunity to see her at sometime when I am back in UK.
