Provincetown Beach Path

I took several photographs of this location and then made my own sketch to use as a pattern.  The quilt is made with commercial fabrics, cut and appliqued to a background.  All raw edges are satin stitched.

Beautiful!!  I like how your flowerbeds look like they have been mulched.  Also like your water movement....did you paint the fabric?  Wonderful quilt!!!

Thank you, Peggy, for your kind words.  The water is a textured taffeta, so it reflects light on its own.  All I did was quilt over it.

This is the path I use all the time. I was just thinking about trying to learn how to use fabric to show some of the beauty I see in Provincetown. I did a random google search and was taken aback to see such a familiar and loved spot.  What a lovely piece of work.
