Carol Ludington, author of "Dye Your Own Iced Parfait" in the June/July issue, created this fabric using the technique in her article.
I believe that this is the same fabric used in her article in the magazine. Lovely. Was hoping for other examples here.
Also, I had to search quite a bit for the link to this page. More info in the magazine would have saved me some time and frustration.
I just dyed a bolt of muslin cut into 45 inch pieces. They came out absolutely fantastic. I've tried many dying techniques and thie was one of the easiest. It does use more dye, but the results are great.
I have had more fun doing this techique!! I have dyed about seven yards of fabric. I am now going to buy more dye, more fabric, and more ice! I have learned more about hand dyeing also. Carol's article helped on what the steps were on how to treat the fabric once hand-dyed.
Now how am I going to use this material???? I would love to see an article on that! Or even better yet--Why don't you do a reader challenger on it!
Thanks for a great magazine!!!
