A landscape quilt of a historic former Boys Home in our county of Spartanburg, SC, made as part of a state Arts Partnership grant to create ten landscape quilts and five thread paintings on silk of historic and notable places around our county.  This building is now vacant but is on the historic registry.

This   is   sooooo   very beautiful !! Just     can't        believe  that it is not a painting.   So very realist,  . How big is it ?    Amazing.

Thank you!  It is a wall hanging, probably about 42" x 46" or so.  I received a South Carolina Arts Partnership grant to create ten of these and five thread paintings on silk of historic and notable places in our county.  I was notified I had received grant funding two days before Christmas so have worked on these beginning the week after Christmas up until now. It was quite a challenge but something i have wanted to do for quite some time.

Beautiful!  They really are very realistic and you almost have to look twice to realize its not a photo!
