A landscape quilt depicting the restored Revolutionary War era cabin of Robert Scruggs in the Cowpens National Battlefields partly in Spartanburg and partly in Cherokee Counties. One of ten landscape quilts and five thread paintings for a South Carolina Arts Partnership grant, Threads of Our Heritage.

The thing about this one is that I am a lifelong resident of Spartanburg County; lived in Landrum, went to college in SC in another county, dated my husband from home, married and moved to Inman and have been here ever since.  But I had never been in the Cowpens National Battlefields in my life!  Didn't even kinow this cabin existed! But I'm so glad they have restored it and preserved it for future generations.

It is smaller than most that I do.  This one with borders is probably around 30" x 34" or something like that.
