What's in my heart? Mitochondria, microscopic energy factories in the heart cells, interpreted in fiber and a zipper. The background is hand-marbled fabric that looked very organic and provided the perfect cellular structure for my mitochondrion.
Good job of representation. Very interesting take on the theme.
I taught biology for awhile. The mitochondria was my favorite organelle. The marbled fabric almost makes the shape of a real heart with the upper and lower chambers. Very good combination of art and science.
