Bluebonnets of Texas

This quilt was created using a photo of the barn and windmill here in Michigan.  I love bluebonnets so, I put the barn and windmill in a Texas setting.  The tree is made using the thread lace technique.  The bluebonnets are fussy cut from a Moda fabric.  The barn is made using 35 different fabric pieces. The large bluebonnets have been embellished with beads.  Thanks for taking a look.

I love your quilt.  I am from Texas and miss the bluebonnets  so much.  We now live in Nevada.  Beautiful work.

Thank you!  I live in Michigan and  also miss the bluebonnets!  I had fun creating my very own year round bluebonnet field!

So beautiful.. the lovely blue bonnets really make it..it must have have been quite a task cutting & sewing all the blue bonnets...
