In 2011, Kate Themel won both the Emerging Artist and the People's Choice awards
at Quilt National for "Dandelion" (above, full view; top, detail).

I was blown away when I saw this quilt at Quilt National in 2011.  Enjoyed the article about her in this month's issue.
