"A Cottage in Painswick, England" makes the viewer feel like they are standing in this beautiful garden.    It was a delight to create!!    I brought this quilt to life using batiks, handpainted, and poplin fabrics.  There is a lot of detail with the quilt.  The bushes on the left side of the quilt feature individually cut leaves on both.  On one bush the leaves are back with a batik fabric and handsewn onto the background bush.  This gives the quilt three dimensions.  The lights have a sheer organza fabric to give the light the appearance of light.  The bush on the right side of the door is made using the confetti technique and fused.  The tree about the green door is made of thread lace.  The quilt measures 17 1/4" X 22 1/2".  It is ready to hang with a hanging sleeve attached to the back.  This is an original design of Peggy Szasz.
