This is a quilt I did as a class assignment for one of Jane LaFazio's awesome online courses. The stitching isn't completed on it yet, though I work on it a little bit almost every week. I am new to quilting so these practice pieces are a fun way to become better acquainted with my sewing machine.

Hey it's lookin' great and thanks VERY much for the nice plug! (and I can't stop being the 'teacher' so I'd suggest a little red on the hummer's chin.)

approachable! I'm sorry I left the above comment, I didn't realize it would be so public, and sound so rude to critique your lovely quilt! huge apologies!

You have noting to apologize for LOL! I WELCOME honest critiques of my work... it's one of the ways I find I learn the quickest and it doesn't hurt my feelings at all. :D The hummer will be finished with thin machine-wrapped cording couched around his outer edges and then I need to bind it and it should be finished. I learned a lot from doing this quilt and particularly from taking your class- I hope I have the oppurtunity to take another one with you soon!

The colours on this quilt are fantastic. I have always loved green and blue together but the red adds a nice surprising punch to this piece.
