This piece is approximately 12"x28", created from photographs that I have taken at Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge area in Oregon.  The background has fabric (Stonehenge) for the rocks and greenery areas.  The waterfalls were first painted with Derwent Inktense, then whitewashed painted over that and then thread painted with a shiny white and a glitter thread. All of the green area was thread painted for background, then I added the layers of trees and bushes, etc, working from background to foreground. Additional thread work was done in the rocky area for moss and some distinction of rock and crevices, along the with small whisper of a waterfall.  The bridge was done separately with thread on dissolving stabilizer, then attached to the picture. The little bit of sky is Intense.
