Another 5" square from the series I design for my daughter. I painted the background, in the watercolor style.Then I added appliqué flowers and leaves with free motion quilting. I'm used to sewing everything together at once, I mean the 3 layers-top, batting and back fabric. It saves time and stabilizes my stitches, and gives a quilting effect.
