I make the basic evening bag from velvet, and embellish them with fabric, yarns, beads, shells--anything I can find. Each purse depicts tidepool flora and fauna of Puget Sound. This one depicts red feather duster tube worms, purple encrusting sponge, a genus of bossiella algae, and drifting zooplankton. I put a bead fringe on nearly every bag I make just because I like the jangly effect.
