This was an experimental piece. I rust-dyed the foreground fabric and added the map with pigma pens and then burned the edges with a candle flame. The dinosaur in the corner came from a photo my husband took of a Tyranosaurus Rex. The background is commercial fabric and was free-motion stiched to mimic the banding in the soil layers around Drumheller, Alberta. The map was rumpled up and fused to the background to make it stand out somewhat from the background (difficult to see in photo).
