This my first ever portrait embellishing -from this and a  couple of others i moved on to 3D portraits and nudes.

Its my daughter Lauren -pity she hates it and I love it-lol!  Its embellished cotton batting with merino wools, seed and straight stitch for the features.

thankyou for the comments -the image is  approx 25cm x 30 cm. It is allneedlefelted. I broke the b/w image down into  into black, grey and white areas and then apllied felt and merino to get the background, then built the layers up with other threads and then finished with straight and seed stitch, Sorry no thread painting butterfly only hand work  -lol!
