thread butterflies

I created a collection of thread butterflies on water soluble "solvy". Sometimes I used a tulle background. Free motion stitching as usual. Copper wire sewn all around the wings enables movement.

They are magnific ! when you make them on tulle background, do you cut out with a scissor or with a heated tool?

looks great as brooches or as well as hair pins.... wonderfull !

Thanks for your nice comments ! To answer tiktakro : I cut them all around with scissors, whenever they are on a tulle background or not.I feel like using water more than heat, I don't know why.
