This was my first official art quilt, although I had done a few hand sewn wall hangings before this. I used a photo I took of leaves floating on a lake as my inspiration. The base fabric and some of the fabrics used for the leaves were hand dyed. All came from my stash. I fused the leaves onto the background, then used free-motion stitching to add the leaf details. Finished size is 19 3/4" by 28 1/4".
