The four squares in the center were a reverse appliqué exercise, with embroidered seams ,combining yarns and decorative stitches.I also added free hand and machine embroidery, laces ,beads, shisha mirrors...everybody told me it looked indian, so I created an indian style frame all round with jasmine flowers appliqué ,arabesques and beads. The blue background is a suede-like fabric to match the thickness of the central squares.
